A beautiful and creative enhancement to our traditional Post and Beam is the Log Connection exclusive method we call "Four Square". A Four Square log home package combines the endless design flexibility of our round log Post and Beam with the highly detail precision square joinery traditionally expected with timber framing. This system incorporates fine wood working techniques not found in our traditional notched Post and Beam homes. By incorporating concealed dovetails with mortise and tenon joinery the strength and connection integrity are unmatched.
 
The Four Square package starts from the typical Post and Beam components. The core of the log package is prepared from select structural Douglas Fir with the option to include other species as character logs. Flare bottom Western Red Cedar posts is a common example. After we deliver and stack the log package, the spaces between the log frame are infilled with conventional framed walls by your local contractor to complete the weather tight home.

Even though each piece requires more hands on attention to detail we are offering our Four Square system at the same price as our traditional Post and Beam log package. Nearly all of our existing designs can be produced in the Four Square method. If you have an existing house design we can quote your plans or if you would prefer to start from scratch our in-house designers will prepare a custom home exactly to your specifications.
