    Shell Walls:
  • Hand hewn notch Log Walls (Standard height = 10’-6")
  • Log walls constructed of standard of Douglas Fir
  • Average full round wall log diameter 14" +/-
  • Window and door pre cut and processed to accept standard window sizes.
  • All pinning and bolting around openings and panel walls as required
  • Drilling for electrical wire passages
  • Pre-cut for electrical boxes, switches, plugs and lights
  • Interior partition slot cuts for interior framed walls
  • Flatten log for installation of switch and plug face plates
  • Posts flattened to accept finish-framing materials
  • Flat end trim on posts to provide direct bearing surface and even load transfer
  • Tuck cuts for interior finish framing materials
  • Sanding of knots, logging scars and exposed chain saw cuts
  • Flattening and slabbing for installation of framing materials
  • Logs treated with protective anti-mildew/ fungicide deterrent
    Shell Upper Floor:
  • Douglas Fir round log second floor joists average diameter 14" +/-

    Shell Roof:

  • Log support posts
    Steel Requirements Supplied and Installed:
  • All adjustable screw jacks
  • All lagging bolts and drift pins
  • Log truss bolts and hardware (if applicable per design)
  • Anchorage system installed to secure log home direct to foundation
  • Through bolts with required timber washers and lock nut hardware (3/4" Dia.)
  • Installation of 2x2x1/4” processed angle iron for all door and window openings
    Pre Delivery:
  • Full visual inspection of all logs during tagging and numbering.
  • Final sanding and cleanup of logs before shipping.
  • Apply non-hazardous wood treatment to prepare for staining, maintain color, deter mold and fungus growth.
    Technical Assistant:
  • Our pricing includes the labor for the on site technical assistant during the re-assembly of the log package.
  • After the erection of the shell, our assistant will consult with your general contractor to ensure a full understanding of the framing and finishing details required for your new log home.
    All log work conforms with the International Log Builders Association standards
